Why Shopping Cart Covers
What to look for when purchasing a Shopping Cart Cover? As a Mom, these are the considerations that I think are most important when selecting a shopping cart cover. First and foremost.the baby shopping cart cover should cover the entire seating area. This is important!!! If you want the cover to protect your child then it needs to cover the entire seating area.
The second most important thing to consider is ease of use. You need to be able to get the shopping cart cover from where ever it is in the car, quickly, and get it on the shopping cart with one hand (the other hand/arm is holding the purse/diaper bag and child). Once it is on, you can put the child in the seat, make any needed adjustments and buckle the child in.
Inside Edition… tested carts with young children in them, swabbing and focusing on the areas most likely touched, like the handles and areas around the seats. The swabs were sent to an independent lab and tested for bacteria and fungus that can cause disease.
Shopping Cart Covers have made this problem disappear. They are extremely easy to use - they fold easily into a tote or diaper bag so you can carry and store them right in the diaper bag. The website’s creator, Dena Holtz, told us, “This clever little invention is not only user friendly, but one-handed user friendly as the maker realizes you will most likely be holding your little one in one arm while you secure the cover with the other.
It takes about 10 seconds to throw the cover into place and secures with Velcro straps. Parents love that.” Once you have your baby or toddler buckled in the shopping cart cover, you also have the option of using a bottle pocket, toy pocket, multiple loop attachments which allows you to a pacifier so the child cannot throw it on the dirty store floor.
You always want your shopping cart cover to have its own safety belt. Let me just tell you………..there is nothing more frustrating then shuffling though a bunch of shopping carts looking for one that has a safety belt only to find out the buckle is broken and the search goes on. Not to mention the strap can be just a dirty as the rest of the cart.
As well as fitting into all standard shopping carts, the Baby Shopping Cart Covers can also be used in park swings and in restaurant high chairs. Some models can also be used as car seat covers. This only adds to the popularity of the item - being able to use it over and over again, not just at the grocery store - where you don’t necessarily go every day.
Pillows: For some people this is a great option. My friend would always plan on going shopping during her sons nap time so he would sleep and she could shop in peace. She always used a pillow for him. On the other hand, my daughter has never once fallen asleep in the shopping cart. So we never carry a pillow in with us, as it just takes up space. If you are going to use a pillow there should be some way to attach it to the shopping cart cover, if not this will get thrown overboard too.
